Google Maps With News Stroies

What is google maps?

Google Maps is a basic web mapping service application and technology provided by Google, free that powers many map-based services, including the Google Maps website, Google Ride Finder, Google Transit, and maps embedded on third-party websites via the Google Maps API.It offers street maps, a route planner for traveling by foot, car, or public transport and an urban business locator for numerous countries around the world. According to one of its creators, Google Maps is "a way of organizing the world's information geographically".

Google Maps uses the Mercator projection, so it cannot show areas around the poles. A related product is Google Earth, a stand-alone program for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, SymbianOS, and iPhone OS which offers more globe-viewing features, including showing polar areas.

4. PM backs Preston's National Football Museum bid

Key words: Preston's National Football Museum

Content: Prime Minister Gordon Brown has thrown his weight behind a multi-million pound rescue deal to keep the National Football Museum in Preston. The Prime Minister voiced his backing for the ambitious blueprint drawn up by Lancashire County Council, Preston City Council and the University of Central Lancashire and spoke of the city's great footballing history.

My opinion: It is great for most local people who are real fans for PNE to hear that 'the PM said his Government will continue to provide financial support for the flagship attraction and praised PNE as a great team.'
